Alexis Weston

Alexis Weston, Head of Strategy at Black Canyon Bio, has a decade of experience in the biotech industry. She holds multiple business and corporate development roles, as well as program development. Beginning her career as a bench scientist at institutions such as the Huntsman Cancer Institute and TGen, she refined her expertise in therapeutic development. She contributed to the advancement of multiple programs to the clinic by managing translational research and preclinical studies. Over time, she transitioned into pivotal business development and strategy roles in early-stage biotech companies, including Stingray Therapeutics and Bonneville Bio, where she leveraged her scientific knowledge to drive innovation and growth. She has helped raise over $9M in equity-based funding and over $16M in award-based funding for Stingray Therapeutics to date. Throughout her decade-long tenure with Dr. Sharma's team, Alexis adeptly navigated diverse therapeutic development initiatives, effectively bridging the gap between science and business.
